Quote and specifications for HIPPA review including VPN and
remote desktop issues.
Per our conversation, it was determined upon acceptance of terms of
an agreement of both parties that Mercury Enterprises performs a
review of the security practices at -----------------. Upon
completion of said review, make any modifications of same security
practices as required per general HIPPA compliance. This
review will cover one server and six workstations.
Items
of interest will be:
· Security Patch updates
· Server security
· User policies and machine security
· Any additional security issues not directly
stated herein
Part of the review process will consist of provide to the
client a systems survey. The
survey will provide such information as:
· Network layout, including routers, switches,
servers and workstations
· Detailed product information including serial
numbers, service tags, operating system revisions, cpu, ram, disk
In addition to the security review, remote access is desire by the
client. To accomplish this, a VPN Remote Access
Service will be activated allowing secure remote access. To
accomplish the addition of a VPN, a second network card will be
installed in the server. This network card will only
handle VPN traffic as forwarded by the Linksys router already
installed in the network.
The table in the following page gives a breakdown of the scope of
work. The documentation of the network will consist of
a Visio Diagram with information including the Server, UPS, Routers,
Switches, Internet Service Provider, and Circuit Identification. For
the remote locations, the Circuit Identification, Router,
Workstation Machine Names, CPU, Disk, Ram, and Operating Systems.
To facilitate remote support, a VPN (Virtual Private Network)
connection is required. This will allow your support
individuals or companies to perform upgrades and maintenance from
remote locations via a secure (encrypted) connection. To
that ends, an additional network card will be installed.
Upgrading the Server will consist of the following:
· Installation of Service Packs
· Installation of Security Packs as needed
· Installation of Terminal Services in remote
Administration Mode
· Installation of IIS Services for remote
administration if needed
· Documentation of the Server
· Addition of an additional network card to
support a VPN administrative connection
· Installation of VPN
Upgrading of the Workstations will consist of the following:
· Installation of updates on Windows client
workstations
· Documentation of the workstations
· Installation and test of the Millbrook’s
Client Software
