Cindy: I'm back again with Charles Crooks. He's the man who's been helping me the last few years awakening my spirit. I wrote a book about it and I want to talk to Charles a little bit about what he does. He's a shaman here in the city of Dallas. And I just want to talk to him a little bit more. Charles, welcome again. Thank you for talking to us.

Shaman Charles: Thank you very much.

Cindy: I'm going to go into an aspect of what you do. I've heard that shamanism is based upon the premise that the visible world is pervaded by invisible forces that affect the lives of the living. Do you believe in that concept?

Shaman Charles: Let me answer it this way. Imagine if the visible world was Channel 13 and imagine if the spiritual world was Channel 14. They both exist at the same time. It's just a matter of tuning into one or the other. They both exist. So, when you think about it, everything is here. It's just a matter of tuning into that particular area that you have need of access to. For example, have you ever had a question or a perplexing idea or an equation that you are trying to figure out, and you end up thinking about it for hours and hours…and you finally give up? And you have yourself a cup of tea or something. You're relaxed and thinking about something else. Then, the next thing you know the answer pops in your mind—that's a good example of that. Because when you relaxed, you allowed yourself to tune into the 'higher consciousness.' And I'm using that in quotes. But, you allowed yourself to tune into one of the other channels where you were able to access that information.

Cindy: Okay. Now, you know when I first met you, I had this big idea of what a shaman looked like. [Laughter]

Shaman Charles: Yeah.

Cindy: And, of course, you look like a regular guy. But I know you speak to the spirit world. Is that true? Do you deal with the spirit world often?

Shaman Charles: I'll put it this way: I deal with other individuals working at other levels. Yes.

Cindy: Okay. So you do work in other worlds, other dimensions, and other realms. Is that correct?

Shaman Charles: Yes.

Cindy: And can you…are you like an intermediary between those…like the physical realm and the spirit realm? Is that what you are?

Shaman Charles: That's an interesting way to put it. I don't consider myself that. I basically go up and do the work I need to do. And if it's necessary, to bring some of that information here, I'll go ahead and bring it here. I've never really considered myself an 'intermediary' or 'medium' or any of that type of stuff.

Cindy: Alright. Okay. That would make sense from what I know about you. What are those realms? Can you tell us about those realms? What other realms are there besides the…you know everybody already know about the earthly realm. And I think we've all heard about the abyss. But…

Shaman Charles: Hmmm.

Cindy: What are all the realms? Can you kind of tell us about that?

Shaman Charles: In short, you've got the Abyss, Earth, Astral, Mental and Celestial. Each one has certain laws and conditions by which one can access and travel. Humanity, for the most part, originated in the Celestial. Yet, they devolved into the Astral and Earth realm. And that's one of the things we are trying to correct.

Cindy: And have you been to those realms?

Shaman Charles: Yes.

Cindy: Oh, wow. That's pretty good. Now, I want to ask you another thing. Do you work in the dream state?

Shaman Charles: When necessary.

Cindy: When necessary. Do you think that dreams are prophetic?

Shaman Charles: In some cases, yes.

Cindy: So what kind of dreams do people have? Can you tell me? Are there types of dreams?

Shaman Charles: [Laughter] Yes.

Cindy: Are they prophetic?

Shaman Charles: Well, there are prophetic dreams. Okay. In other words, there prophetic warnings…that type of thing. There are reflections…basically dreams that reflect what is going on inside you. And the third [type of dream]—symbolic [that are] basically teaching you how to do things. So, for example, on the symbolic ones, they may have to do with traveling or have to do with some sort of advancement that you may be working on or an understanding of how things work. It really all depends. And then there are some dreams that are just downright vacation—flying through the valleys.

Cindy: And do you think people should pay attention to their dreams?

Shaman Charles: I can't tell what somebody should do, as you well know.

Cindy: Yes, I know.

Shaman Charles: But, I will suggest that it is an endeavor worth considering.

Cindy: So, do you think that there are dark forces that are working in the dream state?

Shaman Charles: There are dark forces working everywhere. I mean, look at the highs and lows in government. Look at the highs and lows in society. No matter where you are, as long as humanity has need for it, dark forces will be around.
