Process of Initiation
January 15, 2015
Welcome to 2015! Before we get into the main subject of
this letter, I need to bring to your attention regarding the
Internet service provider that I was with for probably 11 years, and
without any issues of being down more than a couple of hours, had an
internal problem which caused me to be without email and/or website
service for more than five days. This also affected my other
business and a couple of my clients.
To prevent this from happening again, I have signed up
with another Internet service provider. There are couple changes
being made to the primary website, of which I will have SSL secure
pages available for forms and/or any online commerce that is coming
soon. The purpose for the online commerce site is to allow you to
book a session and/or pay for class online.
Currently, I now have the capability to accept Visa and
MasterCard via my iPad. So, if you haven’t made it to the ATM, no
worries. I can accept payment on the night of the class via the
iPad.
Now, let us examine the process of initiation. I have
discussed the subject before in past letters and would like to
return to it because it is really quite important regarding our work
that we have before us.
Over the years many of you heard the description of
various Initiatic processes ranging from the relative benign to the
extremely exotic. Now while it is not our purpose here to spend a
lot of time to the detail examination of the various types of
initiations including the extreme, but rather consider the purpose
for initiation to begin with.
There are three basic Initiatic processes of which we
will deal with only two of them. They are the System Initiation, and
the Rare Initiation. The system initiation is usually done through
an organization, order, and/or tradition. There are steps and
procedures that are performed with the desire to bring about what is
known as the Rare Initiation.
What is interesting about the Rare Initiation is the
Rare Initiation does not require a system initiation to initiate the
process of the Rare Initiation.
The Rare Initiation carries many different levels
and/or conditions. However, we must not occupy ourselves with the
details as to the many different attributes brought about by the
Rare Initiation. The reason for this, is that the universes quite
thrifty in its use of its resources. It is safe to say at this
point, that during the process of initiation in order to facilitate
the process as a most efficient method would not be the equivalent
of choosing to go to Walmart or Macy’s to get some goodies.
So, the statement “Do that which is needful and no
more”, pretty well sums it up.
When an individual is embarking upon the process of
initiation, usually with a guide, the nature of the initiation will
be determined by the need required by the individual, in addition,
the tradition and/or qualities of the guide and/or initiator are
important.
It can be safely stated, there are many people
proposing to do Initiatic work, because of their own limitations,
and/or training, very little happens. Many times there so much
attention placed upon the many Metaphysical toys and/or Props, the
process becomes bogged down into the admiration of those toys and/or
props.
The light of the universe, being yet extremely simple,
eventually expanding to that which is complex yet simple, finding
its source through its simplicity, would also be the basis, and/or
cause, and/or nature of the Rare Initiation.
I’m sure by now many of you are wondering why the
process of initiation is important. While there are many forms
and/or systems designed to bring about a Rare Initiation, the
methods are many and because the universe is quite thrifty, being
without judgment, finds that any system designed to bring about a
Rare Initiation useful.
The process of ritual is designed to bring about a Rare
Initiation. Ritual works by repeating a set of actions of which are
designed to quiet and calm the intellectual mind. If you examine the
intellectual mind, you’ll find is very busy always calculating
something. There is nothing wrong with this, nor does it directly
interfere with one’s spiritual growth. The key here is to recognize
the need for the intellectual activity allowing us to function in
the physical realm. What we must remember is that through ritual, we
quiet the intellectual activity in a safe environment where the
intellect can dedicate a time of peace and quiet.
While the intellect is in a state of peace and quiet,
the next octave up, the “Spiritual Self” will be able to get a word
in edge wise. In other words, we will automatically ascend to those
areas where the Spiritual Self is more noticeable.
When the intellect becomes quiet as described above, we
become aware of a whole different realm of knowledge bringing about
enlightenment and connection to all that which is constructive. It
does not matter whether the system is of a religious, metaphysical,
shamanic, and/or mystery school. All that is important, is the
processes are designed to bring about a Rare Initiation, and/or
illumination.
This Wednesday I will be providing a foundation to
bring about a Rare Initiation in the mystery school tradition. We
will be using the Egyptian temple format to accomplish this task.
Be sure and send your RSVPs to me prior to the class so
I can set things up properly.
Peace,
Charles
