The Nature of Guilt

Charles R. Crooks

The Healer of Hearts and Minds

I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the opportunity to be of assistance in the work where the work being defined as the more constructive of attributes humanity, being described as Love, Understanding, Compassion, and, Honesty, Honor, and Humility.

In exercising this work we find these are the core qualities and/or attributes promoted by many of the good people and also of the good religions of the world where the upliftment of humanity is paramount.

It is too easy to utilize information that has not been validated, partly or misunderstood, and having no means of validation as a basis where we define our qualities and conditions. Short example of this is our famous Guilt we carry around ourselves. We all love to have our Guilt, even know it is painful it is also fun. It gives us something to do. So while we are having a little fun with our good old fashion Guilt, let us take a look at the nature of Guilt and see what we come up with.

So in all fairness let’s consider the accepted definition of guilt. From Dictionary.com, here is their definition of guilt.

noun

1. the fact or state of having committed an offense, crime, violation, or wrong, especially against moral or penal law; culpability:

He admitted his guilt.

2. a feeling of responsibility or remorse for some offense, crime, wrong, etc., whether real or imagined.

3. conduct involving the commission of such crimes, wrongs, etc.:

to live a life of guilt.

verb (used with object), Informal.

4. to cause to feel guilty (often followed by out or into):

She totally guilted me out, dude. He guilted me into picking up the tab.

See also guilt-trip.

As you can see we have a little bit of a problem here, many of us are carrying around our various Guilt Trips. So let’s use one of my favorite statements and see where this takes us. “I’m so guilty for being so stupid; I should have known that person was a dodo head”.

You probably can guess, the first thing I’m going to ask, how is it that we can qualify for Guilt requiring an act of malice using statement of perceived stupidity?

As you can see, this is a great problem for the Intellect. After all, somehow the intellect determined that we are guilty of a crime of malice, with forethought, when all that is really going on is that a moment of not knowing.

Now if we had listened to our inner self, there’s a chance we might have figured out ahead of time that the person was a dodo head. However because of complications beyond the scope of this work we are doing tonight we will not examine the other attributes that may cause these conditions to be a necessity in one’s life.

So here we are and little bit of a dilemma where habits of our language and judgment causes more consternation internally than would be a torturer be capable of in Medieval times.

Let’s consider the fruit of this possibility.

When we examine the intellect we find one thing that is rather interesting the intellect itself is a very good calculator, and/or comparator. It is here the process of deductive reasoning is exercised. Another way to look a deductive reasoning would be to the Boolean algebra method whereby all things are compared to baseline and the results of the question determines the reality adopted by the intellect.

There is another aspect we must consider. The intellect only has access to the five senses, language, other people who think they know what is going on, religious and others who claim they know is going on, yet not direct access to the source by which the Intellect’s existence depends upon.

So, what does this mean? Well everything is a best guess. It is known fact that the five senses are subject to error. As a result of this, a constant is not possible. In our examination, the constant is the point of perfection. While everything in existence depends upon this perfection, of which those things being formed do not have access to it.

As you can guess, using equation X plus Y equals four no solution is possible. So what is an aspiring Intellect to do? After all, it primary responsibility to protect the body at all cost. As a first breath is taken the intellect becomes formed and sentient, becoming aware of all qualities and conditions yet restricted by its nature to that which is formed. So, its tools are limited.

Since the intellect only has the equation aforementioned and the Intellect exercises the equation repeatedly again and again with the same and/or hopefully different information in a futile attempt to find the proverbial constant and/or point of perfection whereby a true solution to the equation can be had. Since this perfection is beyond the scope of the Intellect’s capability, the Intellect develops a process of assumption, whereby the nature of assumption is exercised in the equation and X plus Y equals four, again no solution.

Because of this, all the Intellect has to work with are best guesses. When we are using this process a subset of this process becomes evident through the process of judgment and/or separation. Going back to the time when the Intellect started his first breath and sentience became, no thing being outside of this essence and/or quality of perfection by its very nature requires us to seek this quality of perfection, yet as I said earlier that which is formed cannot perceive this directly.

So with assumption comes judgment, and with judgment come separation and was separation subservience and/or slavery are the keys to this judgment, whereby these judgments are brought not out of Love Understanding and or Compassion, but separation subservience and/or fear.

It is to the constructive attributes whereas the work continues attempting to bring about those conditions to make it easier for individuals to step away from the insecurities and judgment of the intellect, while also bringing the Intellect to such condition that it may grasp and/or access the more constructive attributes of our being in the whole of nature.

It is also important to note, that no one can be held responsible for what they do not understand. Whereas the only time failure can be realized is when success is possible. We find many times that we’ve claimed that we failed in this or that, only to discover as a result of our claim that we are making an assumption, extrapolating a judgment, and developing a path of Guilt, of which all have no validity at all.

However it is a responsibility of mine to present to you a statement of fact with proper examination will validate itself in of itself by its nature. That which is not valid requires force and intimidation to bring forward for it is fraught with fear and insecurity. As you probably discover as result of this short little letter, you do not qualify for Guilt; after all where it the malice?

Those things which are valid are Love Understanding Compassion, Honesty Honor and Humility. The Means justifies the Ends in all matters.

I am planning to restart the classes either in August and/or September. What I would like to get a better idea is which nights are better for you. I’m currently looking at Tuesday Wednesday and/or Thursday, and every once in a while a workshop on a weekend.

If you’d be so kind to send me a note and let me know what your preferences are it would surely be appreciated.

In the bonds of the Light I am,

Charles
