Robin Williams

A note of regret and appreciation

Aug 13, 2014

While it is not my practice to comment on various events happening affecting many of us in one form or another; what I’m referring to, is tragic loss of Robin Williams.

When I heard of his demise a couple of days ago, my first thought was “A great disappointment upon me and others, and a great loss”.  What made this more tragic is that according to news reports his demise was by his own hand.

Apparently, he has been battling with depression for many years of his life.  Now, while I followed many of his movies and some of his antics over the years, to be that nature expressing the highest qualities of mankind, that was about the extent of my attention as it is with any celebrity.

Since his death is on the forefront of our minds, I believe it is important to express a regrets of his loss and appreciation for the good work this man has done.  I also feel that it is important to examine some the processes that might cause us to come to some conclusions many would consider to be completely opposite of what the facts truly are.

There are two terms I want to bring up here. One is perceived and/or acquired reality. And the second one is Actuality, meaning that which is actual, and/or the base and or cause whereby by all things are realized.

One of the difficult things that many people of good nature have to deal with has to do with the question “Am I doing it right?”, or the statement “I’m not good enough”.

As you can probably gather by now, to fully cover the subject would require a small book. So, I am just using a couple of examples to illustrate a very important point.

So let us look at things a little differently for moment. Now in the past of my letters, I have made statements “All things are part of the Whole and no thing separate”, the Whole can be a synonym for God, for to the best my understanding, most religions of the world for the last four or five thousand years would agree that God is all places all conditions and all things. Therefore if the statements are true, then there is no way for anyone to be outside the light of God. I wish to state at this time that when I refer to the Whole, Allah, Krishna, and/or God, it is because I have no better name to describe the essence by which all things exist.

Now as you can see, this statement causes quite a bit of difficulty as far as the intellect is concerned. But we have to remember that the intellect cannot be denied, and will function in such a manner as to take action and/or draw a conclusion based upon the premise of protecting the body at all cost.

When we return to the description of Actuality, we are really describing the essence of God and/or the Whole permeating all things in bringing its perfection providing a means for all things to exist.

So let us consider for moment what happens for we take that first breath and we enter into the body. Well we look around, and we see the universe. Everything we see is direct manifestation of God’s love and/or light, for without it no thing would exist, especially us.

I think it is fair at this time to propose this question for contemplation. Why is it the many religions out there, that the premise of separation is being taught? Now in all fairness, we cannot discount the many good works exhibited and continue to be by many of the religions in this world.  To do so would be a grave error.

So let us get back to the time when we took our first breath, looking around and finding perfection in all that there is, yet the intellect is limited by the five senses, and as you well know the five senses can be fooled. Therefore, perfection is not obtainable. So our natural conclusion is to consider ourselves to be separate from that which we long for.  The very thing we perceive, yet the intellect and/or method of calculation has caused us to believe to be separate from ourselves; were it not for ourselves binding to and being part of the light of God spoken of earlier?

You see, it is natural for the intellect to determine that it is separate from all that there is the reason for this, is it the brain is empty, the five senses are not accurate, and functioning in a limited world is most difficult at best.

We also have to acknowledge that the intellect itself has a primary program that is developed upon that first breath. That is, “To protect the body at all cost”.

In order to exercise this principle and/or condition, the intellect must gather unto itself all things presented that it may calculate and attempt to find perfection. But since the intellect is using a process of deductive reasoning whereby such information perceived is not perfect (the five senses), then perfection sought will never be obtained for the source is not realized through the intellect, but rather through the spirit.

When the spirit perceives, there is no separation. When the intellect perceives, there must be separation.  The reason that the intellect perceives the separation, as stated earlier had to do with the method and tools available to it. That which is formed in the physical and/or the corporal world is in constant motion and will never be stable. Therefore if you remember your math, using the Cartesian coordinates to define a square, the square can only be perfect in theory because all things are in constant motion from the point of the smallest particle to that of a piece of iron, no thing is constant.

Now let us move a little to a different way of considering things we perceive. My previous statements have proposed a foundation to bring to your attention that many of your realizations are fleeting, temporary, and are based upon limited information which is subject to change at any time. With the intellect and its primary directive to protect the body at all cost, the intellect must attempt to develop a resolution to all things perceived. Part of the reason for this, is that if the intellect can find perfection through its means, then it will find contentment in the belief that it has succeeded to protect the body. For as a perceived perfection to be unobtainable, then therefore that which is greater than itself becomes a threat.

This being the case, we can easily understand how we can get into thinking patterns that are very destructive. The higher the intelligence, the harder these patterns are to break. Now earlier I also stated that the intellect collects information for the purpose of protecting the body. It does so by virtue of its first directive realized. As a result, it determines that once it collects information and/or develops a realization, then it is added to its defense stores associated with the task to protect the body at all cost.

Now when we try to remove these various “destructive, and/or untruthful” realizations (stores), the intellect determines that to allow these things to be removed would put the body in danger, therefore violating its prime directive to protect the body at all cost.

So when someone attempts to resolve these particular items, it is not the fact that their unsuccessful is the issue, but rather it is a matter of figuring a way to outsmart the intellect.

For example, if you attempt to resolve an old hurt through by various forgiveness and/or other exercises, you’ll find that even though you do all the exercises and/or affirmations that are out there, the hurt is still there. Remember since the intellect is collecting everything to protect the body all cost, then any hurt and/or rejection of any form is considered a threat.

Earlier I did not go into detail, since everything is part of the whole and no thing separate, the whole being Light, then all things are based upon the perfection of Light, where everything we see and/or perceive is of Light, while everything we perceive in the physical is based upon the Law and/or action of Light but has been made solid by our activities.

As you can see a person’s inability to resolve a belief whether constructive or not is directly related to their ability and/or knowledge to be able to outsmart the intellect.  If an individual does not have the tools to accomplish these tasks, then they cannot be held responsible for the continuation of some of their activities.

Along with success we must also realize, that failure can only occur if we have the tools necessary to accomplish the task. An example, if someone were to give an algebra test to a normal four-year-old, the four-year-old would not have the tools and/or capabilities to succeed in the event. Therefore, failure did not occur here. The four-year-old did not fail. The reason is because there is no chance of success.

Too often we make the statement that we should have been smarter than that. That statement is invalid because it is based upon an assumption brought by the intellect in order to deal with the un-answerable question. Rather, try considering the following statement, “if I had different information I surely would have decided differently”.

You see, one statement seeks your destruction, and the second statement guarantees your success.

Again, I’m limited by the amount of time and space available in these letters. If I were to leave you with anything of consequence, is my sincerest desire that each and every one of you exercises a path of compassion and love towards others but especially yourself.  After all, there is no way possible that you can be outside the light of God. You can try to convince yourself such, and that is your right to do so: But why?

In the bonds of the work,

Charles
